Agata Exner, PhD

Agata A. Exner, Ph.D. is a Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Engineering since 2003 at Case Western Reserve University. She is a highly funded researcher with over $ 9 million dollars of extramurally supported grant funding, and she has been a primary investigator on 14 projects.

In continuing service to the academic community, Dr. Exner has held an active role in providing biomedical research training opportunities for students of all ages and nationalities with an emphasis on mentoring women engineers.

She is a recent recipient of the Mather Spotlight Prize for Women Faculty and a mentoring award from the Case Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program. Nationally, she is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical and Biological Engineering, Distinguished Investigator of the Academy of Radiology Research and Associate Editor of the Annals of Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Exner obtained her Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University in 2003 (PI: Â Dr. Jinming Gao, UT Southwestern).Â
